The Foundation's mission is to honor its namesake, working to prevent fire-related loss of life by supporting fire safety education, advocating for improved fire safety practices in residential and commercial construction, providing smoke & carbon monoxide detectors to high school seniors, as well as scholarships to assist with college.

Our story begins in San Marcos, Texas on July 2o, 2018 with a very selfish act committed by persons unknown. The result was the death of five talented, promising, caring, and giving individuals, and the near loss of a sixth. David was one of the five, the last one to be confirmed lost, five days after the event. Five days of torture.

Tragedy turns into Purpose. We raise funds to supply young adults moving out for the first time with Google Nest Protect Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide devices to ensure a better chance of survival if there is a fire. We also provide Fire Safety information here on our website and at various events we participate in,
